Check In Time
The Hotel’s check in time is 2:00pm. Check in before this time is subject to availability, additional charges, hotel occupancy and room type reserved.
Check Out Time
The Hotel’s check out time is 10:30am. Check out after this time is subject to availability, additional charges, hotel occupancy and room type occupied.
Pre Registration / Early Check In
If a guest requires a guaranteed check in for arrival prior to 2:00pm then Pre-registration is required. Pre-registration is where the guest has booked and paid for the night prior to guarantee the availability of the room for immediate check in.
Late Check Out
Late check out past the hotels check out time can only be confirmed and organized on the day of departure or on some occasions the day prior to departure. To guarantee a late check out past the hotel’s check out time the guest needs to book and pay the night of departure.
All guests are required to complete a guest registration card on check in including name, address and signature. For regular guests this will be required on all stays as a record of your stay at the Hotel. All guests occupying the room must register their name on the Hotel registration card. If all guests occupying the room are authorized to charge back services to the room all guests must sign the Hotel registration card for signature verification purposes.
Credit Card Imprint & Cash Deposit
Guests will be asked to provide a credit card or cash deposit to cover incidental room charges and accommodation charges, if required. If you provide a credit card, the hotel will process a pre-authorisation, which processes a pending transaction on your credit card. This holds funds for duration of up to 7 days but does not withdraw this from your account. When you check out, any room charges will be processed on your credit card, which will release the pending transaction. If you provide a cash deposit, you will be required to pay $300 cash (AUD) at check in which will be allocated to your room. When you check out, any room charges will be deducted from your cash deposit and any remaining funds will be refunded in cash during check out. On occasions, the hotel will be required to process additional pre-authorisation or request additional cash deposit if the applicable room credit is 40% or lower.
All guests are required to provide Identification (ID) during check in for security purposes. ID may also be requested at various times on request by staff to adhere to hotel security policy and procedures.
Number of Guests per Room
The maximum number of guests per room may vary depending on room type and bedding available in the room. Confirmation of availability of room type, required bedding and number of guests should be made at time of reservation. The maximum number of guests may include some of the following combinations –
- 3 adults
- 2 adults + 2 children (aged 12 and under)
- 2 adults + 2 children (aged 12 and under) + 1 infant (aged 2 and under)
Each room must have an adult aged 18 years and older. There are no exceptions allowed to this policy
Additional bedding can be either a rollaway or a sofa bed and is in addition to the existing bedding in the room. Depending on the room type requested will determine if a rollway bed or sofa bed is available for use and the room can accommodate the extra bedding. Additional fees are applicable for additional bedding and are charged at the extra person fee.
Cots are available for use and should be confirmed at time of booking. Cots are provided at no additional fee.
Non Smoking Policy
The Darwin Central Hotel is a 100% non-smoking property with no smoking allowed throughout the whole hotel. Guests are required to initial on the guest registration card that they are aware of our non smoking policy. This is advised on check in, the Darwin Central Hotel website – www.darwincentral.com.au, other online booking agents and travel agents. Any guest found in breach of the Hotel’s non-smoking policy may be charged additional cleaning fees ($500minimum charge) and loss of revenue compensation. Guests who fail to comply with the Hotel’s non-smoking policy may be requested to vacate their hotel room and the premises and forfeit any deposits made with the Hotel.
Valet Car Parking / Car Parking
The Hotel offers a valet car parking service for all guests and is subject to availability at time of arrival. It is recommended that car parking be advised at time of booking to assist with accommodating the guest needs. A limitation of one car per room is applicable. A Valet Car Parking fee is applicable on per room / per day basis and is subject to rate increases without prior notice. No discounts are applicable for day use or night use or early check out and check ins. Confirmation of current valet car parking fee can be given at time of reservation. Guest is required to sign a car parking authority on check in confirming number of nights and value of car parking charges applicable (subject to change dependent on any changes to guest reservation and needs). This service is provided by the Hotel however the Hotel accepts no liability for any loss or damage of personal items whilst in the Hotel car park. The Hotel also accepts no liability or responsibility for any damage occurred to the vehicle whilst in the Hotel park or under the Hotel employees care. The Hotel recommends all guests to have full and comprehensive insurance so the insurance cover can cover any potential claims.
Facilities provided where additional charges are applicable
Additional fees and charges are applicable for the following facilities and services provided by the Hotel – Minibar (located in every guest room), Dry Cleaning, Guest Laundry (coin operated machines), Pay-per-view movies, Broadband Internet, Guest Room Telephone, F&B Services (charge meals back to designated guest room with approved F&B outlets). These charges are to be paid on departure by the guest unless prior arrangements have been made with the Hotel and are in writing for verification and accounting purposes.
Housekeeping will service every guest room daily between the hours of 8am to 4:30pm 7 days a week. It is hotel policy that a Hotel employee accesses every guest room for housekeeping purposes on a daily basis.
Complimentary Guest Items
The hotel provides a range of items on a complimentary basis in every guest room. This will include Tea & Coffee facilities (coffee, tea bags, sugar and small milk pack) and a range of bathroom items (soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion). Additional supplies can be requested and the hotel reserves the right to charge for these additional supplies.
To make a Reservation
You must be at least 18years of age to make a booking of any accommodation displayed on our site. The client must submit a valid credit card when completing the credit card form. All care must be taken by the client to ensure that the information provided in the credit card form is correct. Darwin Central Hotel takes no responsibility for any incorrect information submitted. The person affecting the reservation is deemed responsible for accepting the reservation conditions on behalf of the persons named in the reservations
Names for all reservations must be given at the time of booking. Any name changes must be made in writing and confirmed in writing by the Darwin Central Hotel. The Hotel will only check in and grant access to the room to the names as advised and registered to the room.
In the rare event that the Hotel is unable to provide the confirmed rooms, the Hotel reserves the right to provide alternative accommodation at another hotel of similar category or standard for reservations confirmed in writing by the Darwin Central Hotel.
All accommodation requests are on a request basis and subject to availability at time of booking. If the company has been issued a room allotment then confirmation will be granted based on availability of rooms on allotment granted. If the allotment has been utilised in full for dates requested, then bookings above allotment will be on a request basis and subject to availability.
All rates are quoted in Australian Dollars and are non-commissionable. All rates include 10% Goods and Services Tax. Rates may increase without notice due to any changes or imposition of government charges, taxes or levies. Rates as advertised on the Darwin Central Hotel are subject to change at anytime and may increase or decrease at the hotel’s discretion. Rates as shown are based on single, double or twin occupancy (please refer to bedding configuration) and are subject to availability.
The rates as advertised and available on the Darwin Central Hotel Website Online Reservations are only available by booking online and being subject to the terms and conditions of the online booking system and policies.
Special Event Period
A surcharge is applicable for the following Special Events – Arafura Games, V8 Supercars, Darwin Cup and New Years Eve. This surcharge is applicable for all reservations booked over these periods for the dates as advised on page one of this contract. Events dates are subject to change and are beyond the control of the Hotel.
Additional Person Fees
Additional person fees are applicable for the third adult occupying the room and/or at any time additional bedding is requested and utilised. Additional bedding can be either a rollaway or a sofa bed. Depending on the room type requested will determine if a rollway bed or sofa bed is available for use and the room can accommodate the extra bedding.
Infants 0 to 4 years utilising a cot or existing bedding are free of charge. Children aged from 5 to 12 years old will be charged the child rate per child. Child Meal rates are charged at 50% of the adult price. It is the Booker’s responsibility to include any children in the room booking. Reservations where children have not been included in the booking will not be checked in until payment for children has been processed.
Cancellation/Amendment Policy & fees
Bookings cancelled/amended 48 hours or less prior to arrival will incur 100% cancellation fee equivalent to the total value of the reservation. NOTE: All cancellations must be made on the Darwin Central Hotel Online Reservation System. No phone cancellations will be accepted.
Guests who do not show for their confirmed reservation will incur 100% no show fee equivalent to total value of the reservation.
Payments & Credit Facilities
Full Payment will be processed 48 hours prior to arrival on the credit card provided at time of booking for the total reservation value. The Darwin Central Hotel reserves the right to cancel a reservation if payment cannot be processed on the credit card provided 48 hours prior to arrival.
The client must submit a valid credit card when completing the credit card form. All care must be taken by the client to ensure that the information provided in the credit card form is correct. Darwin Central Hotel takes no responsibility for any incorrect information submitted. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure sufficient funds are available on the credit card at time of payment.
Please note that any incidentals incurred during the guest stay will require payment on departure.
Credit Card Surcharge
A surcharge of 1.5% is applicable for payments via Visa & MasterCard, and 3% for Diners, JCB Card & AMEX.
Due to processing requirements, on occasion we will be unable to confirm a reservation immediately.
